About Us

SW Sodablast Ltd | Ph 0800 612 5575 | Mob 07788582925 | swsodablast@gmail.com | Based in Taunton, Somerset & Birmingham

SW Sodablast operates as an independent business based in the Mid-Devon/South Somerset area and also works in joint venture partnership with Soda-Blast Systems (UK) Ltd out of Birmingham. (See ‘areas covered’ below)

We also maintain an informal network of independent Sodablast operators in many parts of the UK so can conduct or coordinate services in most UK locations.

With our foundations in Sodablasting and building restoration, we now operate 3 different paint removal and cleaning systems:

  • Soda Blasting (Wet and Dry)
  • Thermatech Super-Heated-Steam
  • Light Restoration Grade Abrasive Blasting (Wet and Dry)

This variation allows us to tackle most restoration projects and scenarios that include paint stripping and facade and masonry cleaning from various substrata; to include all stone & brick types, concrete, wood, and more.  This mixed approach allows us to tackle projects in an efficient manner that is the most sympathetic to the base structure and achieve the desired end specification.  Our proprietary dust management systems also allow us to tackle logistically complex interior projects.

We are a very Client focused company and will work closely with the end Client, Architect and Primary Contractor from point of project conception & planning to on-site changes in specification and project completion.  Many restoration projects have elements of exploration and changing specifications as the layers of the onion are unpeeled so-to-speak.  Having tackled very complex projects, we are confident in our ability to complete projects on time, on budget and to specification.

Primary work:

– Contracting and Sub-Contracting within the Commercial, Public and Domestic building sector and property maintenance sector

–  Consultation service to Architects, Contractors and Client and Project Management

We also conduct work within the service sector, manufacturing, food industry, small business and private individuals with a wide variety of projects large or small.

Eco Friendly:

We try to use the most eco-friendly processes by using a food grade and water table friendly soda blast media, light blast media from a recycled raw material and super-heated-steam without pre-treatments whenever possible.

In the limited occasions where a pre-treatment may be required for the steam process, we use paint softeners and poultice applications v/s harsh chemical paint strippers, which are much more sustainable solutions.

Health & Safety and Training:

We take our health & safety very seriously and hold current SMAS accreditation (64895), CSCS registration and CITB training

Our Safety Policy & Procedure is independently maintained by C2 Safety www.c2safety.co.uk
